Can't hear this without remembering my time in Vietnam and that the Deer Hunter was the first movie I saw when I returned. Such sad and painful - literally and figuratively - memories to this day.

Very good performance

Beautiful piece, was perfectly fitting for The Deer Hunter. When I first returned to Vietnam in 1998 after leaving (Operation Babylift) before the fall of Saigon. This piece of music including the piece used for the movie Platoon, resonates in tone and feelings of the whole, of what happened in Vietnam during that period. I then returned as well permanently 2017 (Prior Went back every year to visit Saigon) and even visited many sites such as Hill 937 (Hamburger Hill) etc ... Vietnam now is finally a country at peace... and now so am I #Orphan #vietnam #kiwiinsaigon

This is really nice arrangement for what it is. They usually substitute other instruments because finding a guitarist that can play this song is almost next to impossible. I have met many guitarists that are professionals that can't even touch this song or learn it correctly.

I really felt from the performance how much the arranger, Mr. Paolo Savio, loves this "Cavatina", as well as the movie probably. Also the ensemble members understand the music very well via Mr. Savio's passion so the final outcome is enormously beautiful. I had tears in my eyes.
